Brian Wissman
Director of Bands
Co-Marching Band Director
Brian Wissman is in his sixth year as Director of Bands for Northmont High School. His roles include directing three Concert Bands, Jazz Ensemble, Percussion Ensemble, Pep Band and Marching Band. Previous to his current position, Mr. Wissman spent five years at Troy City Schools, where he taught sixth grade through high school, including their nationally recognized marching band program. While at Troy his bands had the opportunity to perform in Chicago, Toronto, and London, England. Mr. Wissman was the Assistant Director at Northmont High School for three years before his time at Troy. Mr. Wissman graduated in 2008 with bachelors degree in instrumental music education. Mr. Wissman is an active clinician, adjudicator, and arranger for many local and state music programs. Brian lives in the Northmont district with his wife Tiffany, their daughter Eliza, son Emmett, and their two dogs Adele and Georgie. He is a proud alumnus of Northmont City Schools.
SARA Lewis
Assistant Director of Bands
Co-Marching Band Director
Mrs. Sara Lewis is a proud alumni from Northmont City Schools. She currently resides in Englewood with her husband David (Director of Bands at Xenia High School) and their dog Miles (Davis), and two cats, Sniper and Whiskers. Sara attended Ohio University where she earned her Bachelor of Music degree in 2014 with an instrumental emphasis. Sara has performed abroad with the Ohio University Wind Ensemble in both Europe and Ireland, Sinclair Community Wind Ensemble, Greenville Municipal Band, Piqua Civic Band and currently teaches private saxophone lessons. Mrs. Lewis has also had the privilege to coordinate the district 11 Honor Band on multiple occasions. After her time at Ohio University she was a music tutor at Troy High School before teaching full time at Mississinawa Valley as the Vocal/Band Director for two years. She then took on the position of Director of Bands for Greenville City Schools for the past four years where Mrs. Lewisβ bands consistently received excellent ratings. During her time at Greenville, the bands performed at Mason Music for All Festival, OMEA Adjudicated events, and the marching band was invited to perform at the 100th year NYC Veterans Day Parade. Outside of teaching she enjoys camping, traveling, playing her mandolin and performing in various ensembles. Sara is extremely excited to be back as a thunderbolt and be a part of the organization that help shaped who she is today.
Gina Roberts
Guard Director
Gina Roberts is in her seventh year as a member of the high school color guard instructional staff. This is her third year as the director of the high school program. Prior to this role, she was the director of the Northmont Intermediate Color Guard for six years. Gina graduated from Sinclair Community College with an Associate of Arts in Exercise Science, as well as completing the massage program at Dayton School of Medical Massage. She graduated from Northmont in 1991 and was a four year member of the marching band program, spending her last two years in the guard program. She was a member of the Pride of West Virginia in the color guard while attending WVU. Gina is currently the secretary for the Mid East Performance Association.
